Dogtooth Calcite is a speleothem found in limestone caves that consists of very large calcite crystals resembling dogs teeth. They form through mineral precipitation of water-borne calcite. Dogtooth calcite crystals are not limited to caves, but can grow in any open space including veins, fractures, and geodes.
Measures approx. 2.75" x 2.10" x 1.15" and weighs approx. 68 grams.
